Family Ties: Ryoken lost touch with his father when he went into recluse... he has since learned that his father can be found at Galbadia Garden once again.
Story
Ryoken is the son of Laguna and Aphrodite "The Goddess of Love", Ryoken is therefore a God!
Ryoken did not know who his father was for most of his life, and he grew up hating just the thought of his father everytime his parents were mentioned all he would mention was his mother, if asked about his father Ryoken would simply walk away.
Unknown to Ryoken, Laguna was constantly watching over his son with all the love and care Ryoken could have ever needed or wanted. Then Cell arrived with Android 18 and attacked Ryoken - in an act of pure bravery he fought with all his mighty, but it was to no avail.
Cell launched a final attack at Ryoken
But before it could hit, Laguna appeared infront of Ryoken and took the full force of the blast.
Ryoken was stunned, and he began to show respect - after a brief battle between Cell and Laguna, Cell left and Laguna took Ryoken under his wing... Laguna's first pupil.
Pretty soon, people began to notice something between Ryoken and Laguna... and Rikora noticed Laguna was acting strange around Ryoken...
Ryoken confided in his mother Aphrodite about Laguna, this... is when the truth came to light - Laguna, was his father.
Ryoken was stunned by this latest revelation, and so confronted Laguna with it - and in an emotional argument Laguna admitted to everything.. this was the start of an unbeatable duo.
Laguna taught Ryoken everything he knew and soon Ryoken became a force to be reckoned with!
The Downfall
After months of training and fighting, Laguna became strange and seemed upset... Ryoken confronted his father with this, he did not reply.
Laguna became more and more distant from everyone as he began a downward spiral into a dark abyss held only within himself - there was a brief moment of happiness when Ryoken and Rikora announced that she was pregnant but that soon vanished... Ryoken didn't know this at the time... but he was becoming distant because Android 18 and Lunactic Inferno were destroying his mind, his heart and his warriors pride. Laguna fled... leaving Ryoken and his family devestated
The Return
Ryoken has since learned from his aunt, Krysta that his father (her brother) has returned home, returned to Galbadia Garden but unsure as to how much of this is true... he has chosen to come alone without his family..
